Dairy Berry Day
In June, when the berries are ripe and ready for picking, Dassel is host to Dairy Berry Day.
In Bandstand Park in the heart of downtown Dassel, friends, families, and neighbors gather to enjoy strawberry sundaes, root beer floats, live music, and good company.
Each year, Dassel Hillside Farm, located just north of Dassel on Highway 15, grows and donates the fresh strawberries for this event, while the Dassel Co-op Dairy Association provides the cold ice cream.
Music is provided by the Mid-Minnesota Concert Band, which is made up of local musicians who perform a variety of music for the guests in attendance.
This is also an opportunity to meet the Dassel Red Rooster Day ambassador candidates as they and the current ambassadors dish up ice cream.
Dairy Berry Day is a great time to meet the people of Dassel and share in a free tasty treat, all while enjoying the great outdoors. Just remember to bring a lawn chair!
